Interest Circle Proposal
Use this form is to propose creating a new interest circle to the OLLI community. An Interest Circle is a self-organized, self-governing discussion or activity group, proposed by OLLI members and coordinated by participants. Past Interest Circles have included an international fiction reading group, a lunch restaurant exploration group, a poetry writing group, a group centered on the energy crisis, a reading group centered around modern writers from the Islamic world, and several film and performance-attending groups. If students in a particular course want to continue meeting and discussing as a group, they can propose a new Interest Circle. For more information, contact the Interest Circle coordinator at olli.ucb.ic@gmail.com or call the office at 510-642-9934.

This will be posted on the OLLI website to attract participants.
Role of Facilitator
The volunteer facilitator communicates with Interest Circle members and serves as the liaison to the OLLI office, requests space as needed, and provides Interest Circle meeting information to post on OLLI’s website. It does NOT necessarily mean moderating discussion at group meetings.

By submitting this proposal, you agree to facilitate the first meeting of the Interest Circle. If you do not wish to continue in this role after that meeting, the group can choose another facilitator.
