The Barnard Bound program is designed for young women who are rising high school seniors graduating in Spring 2016 and self-identity as students of color (which we define as individuals from Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latina, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian, Bi- and Multi-Racial backgrounds), especially those who couldn’t otherwise afford to visit.
This overnight program is a terrific opportunity for you to get to know Barnard and New York City on a more personal level before you apply. The program will introduce you to the multiple communities open to Barnard students. On Saturday and Sunday, you will learn more about Barnard, tour parts of NYC and learn more about Barnard's admission and financial aid processes. On Monday, you will have a chance to observe a class and hear from a student panel and staff members before returning home.
At the end of this application, you will be required to include short answer and essay responses. Please write and edit your responses in a word document and copy and paste your final draft into this form.
IMPORTANT: You are not able to save and return to this application before submission, so be prepared to *complete and send in one sitting.* When you are ready, scroll down and begin.
