Dallas Business Club Civic Strides CONNECT Application Form

Building on the great momentum in its inaugural year, the DBC's Civic Strides campaign will again seek to partner with charitable organizations in DFW. We are pleased to unveil a new pilot program called Civic Strides CONNECT which extends the core program in a new and exciting way to deepen our support the community throughout the year.

Civic Strides CONNECT aims to match the individual talents within our organization to the needs of many more civic organizations in an ongoing basis. The premise was that tremendous individual expertise exists within our 3,000+ directly registered members (and many more through our MBA alumni chapter members) from which many worthy non-profit organizations could gain real benefit -- we just needed a way to pair our members (supply) with their needs (demand) in an efficient manner.

A qualifying need will either be 1) a call for non-profit Board leadership or 2) project-based support that requires a specific skillset and has a defined deliverable with a reasonable commitment and timeline. We intend to utilize our website (www.dallasbusinessclub.com/civicstrides) as the preferred medium to accept proposals and post approved projects from organizations that individual DBC members can then opt into should a match exist.

Each organization needs to meet the following general criteria:
* Strong involvement with our local community
* Non-controversial mission
* Flexible, open-minded and easy to work with
* Examples of charitable missions could be, but are not limited to, social services, healthcare, environment, arts and education, etc

The Board will review the qualifying applications and will post approved opportunities.

...now, tell us a little more about the candidate organization!
