Title VII Summer Enrichment Program 2017 | Wendler Middle School
We are excited to begin accepting applications for the 2017 Summer Enrichment Program! Summer Enrichment is a three-week day camp organized by Title VII Indian Education. Each year we offer students Alaska Native language instruction, cultural and culinary art classes, dance, literature, math and science enrichment, and physical activities, all in a culturally responsive setting.

Alaska Native and American Indian students entering first through eighth grade who have a complete 506 form on file with our department are welcome to apply. The program is free, and lunch and transportation are provided.

Please note that we will NOT have a nurse on site at the Summer Enrichment Program. If your child has a health condition, please consider carefully whether or not the program is suitable for them.

To ensure your child's health and safety during our program, we may contact the nurse at your child's school to discuss your child's medical history and/or request copies of their Student Allergy Anaphylaxis Action Plan, Asthma Action Plan, and/or Student Diabetes Injection/Pump Care Plan for School.

Title VII is required by ASD Health Services to have a complete Authorization for Self-Carry/Administration of Medicine on file for students who will be carrying medication, or a Short Term Prescription Medication Request for students who will require the administration of medication. Transportation
Please indicate how your child will be transported to and from the program site:
Please arrive at the bus stop a minimum of ten (10) minutes prior to indicated pick-up and drop-off times. You are responsible for being on time to pick up your child, or making appropriate arrangements for them once they exit the bus. Bus stops are not supervised by ASD staff, and the responsibility of the bus driver toward your student ends once your student is discharged.

You indicated that a parent will be transporting this student to and from the program site. Adult supervision is not available on site until 12:30 PM. If you arrive early, you will be expected to stay with your child until the program start time. Students must be picked up promptly at 5:30 PM. If you will be late, please inform program staff as soon as possible. If you are delayed and unreachable, it is District policy to contact the Anchorage Police Department.
