About Maya: Maya Rogers is a songwriter and vocalist who graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor's in Film Scoring and Songwriting. Maya considers herself to be a lifelong student of music. She has had the privilege of traveling to Hawaii to study vocal improvisation with Rhiannon (Bobby McFerrin) in both 2014 and 2017. The most meaningful experience with music to date has been using her voice to help recover from a traumatic brain injury. As a result, she believes that the human voice is a powerful tool for healing and self-actualization. "If you can talk, you can and should sing -- every day." In addition to singing on a daily basis, Maya writes regularly and believes that songwriting can enhance every part of your life. Some of Maya's accolades include winning the Pantene Pro-Voice viewers choice songwriting completion (2003) and honorable mention in the We Are Listening Songwriting Competition (2007). Her voice and music can be heard on television and feature films such as Alpha Dog, Made in Hollywood, and Hearts of Christmas.
