"The Town that Food Saved" Community Reading Series
The Year of Meadville invites you to participate in a Community Reading Series. This spring, we will be visited by Ben Hewitt, author of "The Town that Food Saved: How One Community Found Vitality in Local Food." Each resident-led group will meet regularly from the week of January 18 until Ben's public talk on Friday, Feb. 19 and our Regional Local Food System Panel Discussion on Saturday, Feb. 20. Books will be provided free of charge to the first 30 registered participants, thanks to the support of the Allegheny College's Provost Office and the Barnhart-Fishel Endowment Fund.
