An Albertus Magnus College education is about pursuing the truth, applying learning to make a difference in the world, and sharing the search for truth with others. To celebrate the accomplishments of Albertus Magnus College students in meeting these goals, the College is hosting the first annual Experiential Learning Day, a day that gives students the chance to present what they have accomplished in their curricular and co-curricular activities.
Experiential learning is learning through the experience of “doing,” and takes many forms, including internships and practica, service learning projects, scholarship or research in the sciences, arts, and humanities, and student-run groups and athletics.
The Albertus Magnus College Practicum & Internship Office cordially invites you to Experiential Learning Day, Thursday, March 21, 2013. The entire schedule of the day’s events can be found online at http://academicservices.albertus.edu.
At 1:00 PM the Experiential Learning Awards Ceremony will be held in the Tagliatela Academic Center. We will honor students, experiential learning sites, and faculty advisors who excelled in realizing the goals of experiential learning.
Please RSVP by March 8, 2013.
I look forward to seeing you on March 21st.
