A description of the group being nominated and why this student organization
deserves the Legacy honor by specifically addressing the above criteria. If any of the criteria below,
such as fiscal responsibility, do not apply to the group, please address
this as well.
At least two recommendation letters from any of the following: students, faculty/staff,
community members, and anyone else who is familiar with the group.
Please comment on any pertinent information to the nomination.
This could include parts of a transition notebook, agendas from
officer retreats or other meetings, elections paperwork, year long action plans or goal
sheets, highlighted areas of a constitution or bylaws, and other materials that
demonstrate a thoughtful plan for sustainability.
The majority of the evidence supplied in this nomination needs to have occurred
between April 19, 2012 through April 15, 2013.
Please provide information on the following criteria:
Successful leadership/officer transition plan in place.
Consistent and active participation as a group in campus activities
(this could include: community service, leadership conferences, retreats, hosting events,
workshops, supporting other organizations, etc).
Successful promotion and implementation of their own events.
Demonstration of effective student or community leadership, as defined by the UAF
Leadership Program (core objectives include: community engagement, visioning,
experimental action, knowledge acquisition, appreciation of diversity, personal
development, and communication).
Information and accessibility provided to prospective members.
Evidence of fiscal responsibility.
