Friday evening training:  It looks too windy and a decent chance of rain.  No training.

Saturday: training is cancelled. we were hoping to start tandems this weekend but the weather looks terrible.  Check back Friday evening but it looks highly doubtful.

The next teachable weather seems to be Wed, Thurs and Friday of this coming week.

Always check this document before driving out incase of any changes to weather.

Make sure to sign up to the waiting list if any lesson you are interested in is full. We are often able to place people, plus it helps us in prioritizing instructor scheduling to know demand. If you are placed from the waiting list, you will be sent an email.

WEATHER: We look at many sources and weather models and make our decisions very thoughtfully when to confirm or cancel flying sessions. Here is one of the sources of many we use:

The easiest way is to search on ‘Instinct Windsports’ using GoogleMaps application (apple maps doesn't work), that will take you right to us.

Or try

-GPS's don't seem to pick up our addresses so make sure you orient yourself with the map! At our St. Jacobs location, normally we park at the end/corner of Weeby Place, before it turns hard left. DO NOT ENTER the driveway to the house please.

-Please note that we do not have any store-front or signs at our location, so make sure you look at the map carefully before driving out and write our number down.

Call 519.231.0170 and press 2 if you need directions to St. Jacobs.

OTHER INFO on your hang gliding experience:

-Bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, etc; the larger the group the more prepared you need to be to make a day of it

-Please wear long pants and running shoes during first lessons. Stretching is advised as well for lessons due to some running involved.

-There are only "natural" washroom facilities on site. Ie. Corn fields or trees. If you prefer a more luxurious experience, you will have to drive into St. Jacobs.

-Hang Gliding is very dependent on weather conditions and other logistical details, and we try our very best to run on or ahead of schedule, but be aware we occasionally have delays up to 2 hours due to such variables. Don't worry, most people have fun being outside, enjoying the weather and watching other people fly, but we want to let you know so you can keep your schedule open.

-For tandem flights, we offer videos for your experience as well for $25 and will provide you with an SD card with your video immediately following your flight.
