Managing Your Account: Using Google Analytics to track visits

Print

You now have the ability to track how much traffic a particular published doc is getting through Google Analytics.

To start tracking traffic to your docs:

  1. Go to your Docs list and click Settings.
  2. In the Track published documents section, do the following three things:
    a. Check the box that says 'Track visits to my Google Documents using Google Analytics.'
    b. Enter your Google Analytics tracking code. This help article will assist you in finding this information.
    c. Finally, to find this tracking information, sign in to Google Analytics. Click View reports to see visitor stats for your published docs.
  3. Once you've filled in this information on the settings page, click Save.
This feature isn't currently available for spreadsheets and presentations. The Google Apps Admin help center includes instructions for using Analytics to analyze Google Apps.
