Collaborating: Let people edit without signing in

If you'd like to allow all users on the Web to view or edit your document, spreadsheet, or presentation, you can select the Get the link to share option from the Share drop-down menu.

To let others view your doc without signing in, select the first checkbox. To allow viewing and editing, select also the second checkbox. Click the Save & Close button.

Then, you can share the link to this document, spreadsheet, or presentation with others, so they can view or edit it without signing in.

If you use Google Apps, you'll have the option to allow anyone within your domain to view or edit your doc without signing in.

You can also let anyone view or open your doc without signing in from the Share dialog. Here's how:

  1. Click the Share drop-down menu, and select Invite people.
  2. Click the People with access tab and click Change next to 'Sign-in is required to view this item.'

  3. Depending on how much access you want to give others, select Let people view without signing in, or Let people edit without signing in.
  4. Click Save & close.
Please note that anonymous editing and viewing won't work for users who do not have cookies enabled in their browsers. Learn how to enable cookies in your browser.
