To disable gears for Google Docs:

  1. Click the Offline link in the upper-right corner of your Docs list.
  2. On the dialogue box that appears, click the Reset my offline access button.
Please note that offline support is not offered for Safari when using Mac OS X 10.6. When attempting to access the offline version, you'll simply be redirected to Google Docs online. We recommend that you sync up all offline changes online by signing in from the same computer where you made your changes. Once you sync all your offline changes, please disable Google Docs offline.

Mac OS X 10.6 users will still be able to access Google Docs offline while using another supported browser.
