Students apply to social work program by June 1st of their sophomore year to begin in the Fall Semester of junior year.

Once admitted into the Social Work Program students must maintain a 2.8 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in the major.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the major includes the following courses (SOC 2010, SOC 2020, SW 3101, SW 3102, SW 3201, SW 3203, SW 3302/SOC 3302, SW 4103, SW 4203, SW 4970 and SW 4971).

CAS Exploratory Requirement

In addition to satisfying the university-wide general education requirements, all students with majors in the College of Arts and Sciences are required to complete at least three courses outside of their major rubric, for a minimum of 12 credits.
