I can check students' login history as an indicator of participationI was not aware of this as a feature; however, after looking into the Finalsite help page, there seems to be room to check students' login frequency. It does not seem to be a teacher-friendly feature. From what I've gathered, I would have to click on each student individually.Yes. User Analytics allows you to see the latest date and time the user last logged in, and it displays any comments he/she has made on course content.I don't believe so. I couldn't find this feature.
5

I can set up a learning portfolio.No. Evidence of student learning could be submitted through the Dropbox, but then the e-Portfolio would need to be assembled using a different tool.Porfolios are a feature that users have been asking for on the forum. Suggestions such as a studet blog, Evernote, etc. have been mentioned as a way of creating a portfolio without having a specific feature for the time being. This feature is available, but it may only be availble to district/school-wide level. I need to do more research.
13
I can set up surveys. No. I would have to create a survey in another platform and include the link on Finalsite.People have included Survey Monkey links, but users have asked for an anonymous feature to be added and for their current survey feature (which only allows one question) to collect data rather than marking right or wrong.I do not believe so.
14
I can set up checklists so that students can track their progress.I can included a checklist in the weekly bulletin, but it would not be interactive. This is not a separate feature, but I would assume if you uploade the Evernote app that you could create checklists your students could access.No. This is not a separate feature.

Please add other criteria of importance to you, your discipline, and your context:
22
Personal criterion 1: Teacher can personalize the homepage of the CMS layout. There's not a ton of freedom in terms of "decorative" decisions. The changes you can make are the number of columns, and the order you would like the features you've selected to fall within the column. No color choices. The organization is pretty much set up, but it allows you freedom in terms of the apps and ways to convey content/information (i.e. video, audio, text). The organization is pretty much fixed. Very minimalistic in terms of colors, graphics.
23
Personal criterion 2: Video and audio can be uploaded with minimal troubleshooting or interference.No. Media uploading in general is time-consuming and the organization format to be limiting.I am not yet aware if this will be time-consuming.I am not yet aware if this will be time-consuming.
24
Personal criterion 3: Resources can be viewed (open on the site) without having to download.Video, yes. Documents, no. You must download all documents.Yes. You can see resources opened without having to download.Yes. You can see some resources opened without having to download them.
25
Personal criterion 4: The organization allows for easy access to all information from the homepage (i.e. families don't have to visit multiple pages to get to the majority of resources). When bulletins or calendar items go beyond the page width, you must select "more" rather than simply scrolling. You can find the majority of items on the homepage if the designer sets it up though. All content is available from my homepage. The features are much more condensed inside various headings/titles. "Home" is your safety net button, which always remains at the top left.
