Instructions

1. Make a copy of this template sheet

Add in the data (manually)

2. Download a Google Ads Auction Insight report

- Make sure to segment by date (e.g. day or week or month)

- Note you may have to do this by selecting the campaigns you want and then selecting download report

3. Copy this report into the "Auction Insights" tab

- Copy the whole report, so the headers should be on the second row of the sheet

4. If you want device data, do the same with the "Auction Insights By Device" tab

5. If you want performance data, also download a Campaign report and paste it into "Performance Data"

- This should be for the same campaigns and have the same date breakdown and filtering

- This should have the columns clicks, impressions and cost

Design Output

Go to the "Settings" sheet

- Everything in yellow text will have been filled in automatically

- Only ever edit white backgrounded cells!!

1. Update the "Names From Reports" section to make sure all these names match the headers in your report(s)

- e.g. the Date column needs to be set to "Week" if your data is Weekly

2. Update the "Formatting" section with any desired formats

- Note: The script doesn't do any currency conversion

3. Update "Stats To Report" to pick what displays in what

- You can only do this if you've given it performance data

4. Update the "Competitors To Include" column to pick which competitors to include in the graphs - add "Yes" for ones you want to include

5. Update "Reports To Make" to decide which reports are generated

Getting the Output

You are ready to click the "Click Here to Generate Reports" button!

This will make extra sheets in this sheet which you can update/edit as much as you want

- Warning: Clicking the button again will delete and remake these sheets!

- Warning: Updating the data will not update the reports, you need to click generate again to import any new data
