SHAgala is a major fundraiser for Sacred Heart Academy and includes online, live and silent auctions, cash raffle, and dinner event. The SHAgala main event takes place February 15, 2014 with 'A Platinum Event: Celebrating 20 Years of Irish Pride' as our theme. In order to meet the school's budget and keep tuition increases to a minimum, we hope every Academy family is able to help. Thank you for your support in the education of our K through 12 students.

Clean-up

volunteers help on the morning of Sunday, February 16 with getting the gyms back in order and ready for team practices

Decorating

this committee plans/makes decorations for the auction and dining areas and is responsible for decoration set-up during the days prior to SHAgala as well as clean-up the day after.

Gift Acquisition

volunteers follow-up with about ten prior & potential auction donors who have been sent letters but not yet responded (generally Nov - Jan)

Raffle Tickets

organize and/or assist in the distribution and sale of raffle tickets within the Sacred Heart community and beyond. (Nov – Feb)

Set-up

help during the days prior to SHAgala with table and gift display, lighting, etc. One volunteer works specifically with coordinating student volunteers. Most work takes place Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and afternoon, and Saturday morning.

Table, Special Events, and Checkout

volunteer the night of SHAgala (February 15) as attendees bid on items, purchase special event tickets, and/or help when attendees want to collect their winnings and make payment.
