This is to announce that Vincennes University will host two 3-day welding workshops for Educators in June of 2022. Both workshops will be taught by Lincoln Electric trainers from corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, and assisted by the welding faculty of Vincennes University.
Vincennes University will provide accommodations for the attendees, handle reservations for the workshop, and provide facilities. The cost for these workshops will be $150.00 per day for each attendee for a total cost of $450.00. That cost will cover the training, three meals per day, a private room on the Vincennes University campus, and use of the campus recreation center during the workshop.
Each workshop will award one credit hour of college credit for course completion. Additionally, Professional Growth Points (PGP’s) for licensure renewal will be provided for the program via Lincoln Electric or Vincennes University. Attendees, who complete the workshop, will be awarded a ‘Certification of Attendance’ with the name of the program, the dates, and the total number of hours the person spent in the education-related instruction.
Attendees will need to bring all required Personal Protection Equipment for this course. Items include: Welding helmet, welding gloves, welding jacket and appropriate pants and foot wear. The lab sessions will be completed in Vincennes University’s Welding Technology facility. In partnership with Lincoln Electric, this is the most modern welding educational facility in the United States.

*Each Course DOE approved will qualify for either 1 continuing education credit or 24 shop lab hour credits.
It is important that you enroll in a timely fashion as only 50 Educators will be accepted per course. Payment should be made to Vincennes University Technology Division, 1002 N.
