Rise and Lead with Authenticity -- Elevate y Liderea con Autenticidad
Latine High School Student Leadership Conference
Friday, May 3rd, 2024 | 8-2 PM, subject to change | Linn-Benton Community College
The Latine High School Student Leadership Conference seeks to inspire, inform, and prepare Latine high school students to pursue their post-secondary educational goals. A keynote speaker initiates the program with an inspirational speech that encourages students' audience to follow and achieve their education, career, and life dreams and goals. Following this talk, students attend practical workshops to become more informed and better prepared to support and complete their post-secondary educational plans. Finally, a college, industry, and community resource fair provides information and resources for students to follow their educational and career goals. The conference targets high school juniors and seniors in high schools in Linn and Benton Counties but may open opportunities for sophomores and freshmen to attend.
The College, Industry, and Community Resource Fair is offered during two sessions. See times below. During Session I, half of the conference participants attend workshops while the other half participates in the college and career resource fair. Roles are reversed during Session II. The conference aims to reach 200 to 400 high school students and all participants will attend the college and career resource fair.
The College, Industry, and Community Resource Fair includes a standard rectangular table with two chairs and a lunch. Please note the table set up does not include an electrical outlet or power source. Please note the deadline to register is Friday, April 19, 2024. This deadline guarantees that your institution will be listed in the conference program. After this deadline, we cannot ensure that your institution will be listed.
Exhibitors will have access to a planning committee representative to answer any questions or any support needed prior to and during the conference.
