Late Add Request
This form will allow late registration for 2 weeks following posted registration deadlines.

Late registration after the add deadline is not encouraged. Missed class participation impacts your overall performance and grade in the course. Consult with your academic advisor or program coordinator to determine if the late add is in your best interest.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

Required Overrides:
In order for your request to be processed as a Late Add, the instructor of the course must have assigned either the PERMISSION or LATE REGISTRATION overrides by the time your request is submitted. You can find instructions on how to request late registration permission here. Please keep in mind that instructor permission is not guaranteed, as instructors hold the discretion to approve or deny late add requests. The feasibility of your success in the course based on how much material has been covered is a factor in their decision.

If we have not received the override or other permissions from the instructor by the time of processing, your request will not be reviewed. **If you are submitting this form to adjust credit hours on an already registered course, these overrides are not needed.

Financial Aid Recipients:
Financial aid "locks" on the last date to add/drop classes for the term at 11:59pm. The number of registered credit hours at the credit lock deadline is used to determine your financial aid package for the semester.

Requests made after the deadline to add/drop classes will not count towards your financial aid eligibility. Once the course is added to your schedule a balance will be created and payment is due immediately.

If you are receiving financial aid, it is important that you contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at finaid@oakland.edu or (248) 370-2550 to further discuss your financial aid and/or payment arrangements prior to submitting this form.



A Registrar Services staff member will review your request within 1-2 business days. 
Please check your MySAIL account after 2 business days to confirm that the requested changes have been made. If you do not see the changes reflected in MySAIL more than 48 hours after submitting your request, please contact Registrar Services at regservices@oakland.edu or 248-370-3450. Our office is open Monday - Friday 8a-5p.

You will be alerted by regservices@oakland.edu to your Oakland University email if there are any issues, errors, or holds preventing your registration change.
