The GOTV with Social Work Community Outreach Services (SWCOS) team is a growing community focused on building capacity to promote civic awareness, education, and action as a means to disrupt Socially Engineered Trauma (SET). If you haven't done so already, we invite you to read and take the time to reflect upon Dr. Wendy E. Shaia, David O. Avruch, Katherine Green & Geneen M. Godsey's recent piece, Socially-Engineered Trauma and a New Social Work Pedagogy: Socioeducation as a Critical Foundation of Social Work Practice. The learnings and insights from this piece is what guides our work and approach. It is the very foundation from which we operate.
