Undocumented Student Program: Dream Lending Library
The Undocumented Student Program (USP) at UC Berkeley is pleased to provide support to undocumented students who face financial challenges through the Dream Lending Library program. This program is designed to assist students in obtaining required textbooks that otherwise would be cost prohibitive.  We will give priority to students with the highest unmet financial need. In order to participate in the Dream Lending Library, students must meet all of the following criteria:

1) Must be a current UCB undocumented student enrolled in a minimum of 12 units or an approved reduced study load
2) Must be low-income as defined by financial aid guidelines (Dream Aid recipients)
3) Must NOT be eligible for federal financial aid (pell grant, direct loans, etc)
4) Must agree to terms and conditions.

This application is due by Friday, February 3rd. This semester we will ONLY be taking applications that consist of books in our library. Please make sure that you check out the librarika page to see if we have the book you need: https://USP_DLL.librarika.com

Terms & Conditions
1. Textbooks are on a LENDING basis and must be returned at the end of the semester to the Undocumented Student Program,  including textbooks of which a student paid a portion out of pocket.
2. Textbooks that are not available in the existing library and are instead purchased at the bookstore using our funds CANNOT BE RENTED. They MUST be purchased.
3. If a student did not meet terms and conditions in a previous semester, he/she will not be eligible to apply for 2 semesters.

Students selected for the program must agree to return all books by Friday, May 12, 2017.

We expect the program will receive more applicants than we can fund and provide assistance for.  The Undocumented Student Program strives to meet the demands of all students and is committed to expanding our resources in future semesters to meet the growing needs.
