HVCC/NWR Service Learning Volunteers (Events)
***PLEASE READ ALL BELOW***

Noteworthy Center is an intergenerational community center that houses an indoor skatepark, safe space for support groups, and educational workshops. Noteworthy Resources (NWR) is volunteer-based providing supportive programs and services throughout the Capital Region, either at the center, schools, parks, businesses, etc.

Volunteers are encouraged to learn about Noteworthy Resources' mission and all the programs that we provide. When helping out at local events as an NWR representative, volunteers promote wellness, kindness, and empowerment to others and encourage people to visit Noteworthy Center and Endure Skatepark to access support and services.

Over the next several months, we will be adding more events to the list once we get word on them. We will keep you posted on the additional event options to volunteer at.

General Volunteer Expectations
When signing up via Google Form for any NWR event you are agreeing to:
  • Stay for the entire time registered for.
  • Show up on time.
  • Volunteers are representing the organization and its mission. We are inclusive, respectful and empower others.
  • If you can no longer attend or are coming late, or have any concerns/questions, please contact Tatiana.
  • Sign up only if you can meet these expectations. You can always edit your sign up in the Google Form at any time. It’s recommended to sign up 2-3 weeks out so you know your schedule better. We want you to know yourself and feel comfortable with how much time you can commit!
Please select events and times you can volunteer. Most events will need help setting up/breaking down (included in time options).

You will receive a text and email from Meaghan the week of confirming if we need you, the schedule, & more details. This form will automatically send out a copy of your answers for your records. If you cannot make an event, please notify Meaghan ASAP by email at info.nwralbany@gmail.com (preferred) or call the center at 518-599-5454.

Please note volunteers receive 3 chances. If you cancel 3 times we can no longer rely on you for help. Volunteering at events does not count toward volunteer hours to use at the skatepark. You must volunteer at the skatepark front counter to earn those hours.

Volunteer perks:
  • developing a deeper connection with the community
  • meet news people and expand your connections
  • build upon your skills, strengths, and experiences
  • add up as your reference or as experience on your resume
  • help those learn about our organization's programs and services & more....
