Frances T. Schuster Scholarship

The Frances T. Schuster Scholarship, established in 2023, honors Frances Schuster, a woman of faith, grace, and service.  Her passion for her children, service to the Church and community, and strong belief in her faith were the inspiration for this scholarship. While holding a full-time job as a single mother, she still made it a priority to constantly volunteer her time at St. Jude Parish, Catholic schools that her children attended, and community organizations.  Frances cherishes her family and friends and demonstrates her Christian values by touching the lives of many through her volunteer work. Her greatest joy and accomplishment were found in raising her eight children. Frances' desire was that they discover own their gifts and talents to lift up others in the community.

Each year, one incoming first-year student, who demonstrates faith, grace, and service to the Catholic Church, will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship, renewable for three years, as long as the student remains in good standing.  Preference will be given to students who attend St. Jude Parish and whose family would not otherwise qualify for need-based scholarship aid but demonstrates financial need according to the FACTS Grant & Aid application. The applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a junior high principal, teacher, or coach and complete the application form and essay.
