This workshop is an immersion in Lindley’s devising and rehearsal practices. It includes a full body warmup, excerpts of "The Bag Lady Manifesta" repertoire, prop work, movement, text-based prompts, and creating short microperformances. No prior performance or dance experience is necessary to apply. All bodies welcome. Women, queer, trans, gnc, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) folks are encouraged to apply.
This workshop is part of a series of events featuring Taja Lindley's work in Memphis, TN via Rhodes College.
In order to participate in the workshop, you must be available for both workshop dates:
2:00pm - 6:00pm Sunday September 23rd
7:00pm - 9:00pm Monday September 24th
Accepted participants must also attend one of the performances
