DESCRIPTION OF THE GREAT BEGINNINGS START BEFORE BIRTH (GBSBB) TRAINING?
• The prenatal and neonatal periods offer valuable windows of opportunity for the home visitor to establish a trusting relationship with a family, and focus intently on the needs of the mother and father as they transition into their new roles. In this training, home visitors will receive information and strategies to support the parents in enhanced prenatal bonding, stimulating fetal brain development, and reducing personal stress to increase healthy birth outcomes. Topics include, but are not limited to, fetal development, from preconception through birth; maternal health; father involvement in pregnancy and the neonatal periods; and trauma-informed practice during pregnancy and delivery. Join us for this two-and-a-half day training to build your skills and strengthen your confidence in early home visits with families.
