Application for membership of Wiki Project Med Foundation - for 2024
Below are the requirements to become a member:
  • have an account on MDWiki.org
  • vote online during the two week period of the AGM
  • be at least 12 years old
  • agree with and support our mission
  • willing to privately share name, username, and email address
Other aspects that will be considered on a case by case basis include:
  • movement Wiki account for at least 3 months
  • not banned on any movement Wikis (exception may be made)
  • active within the movement (made at least 250 edits in the prior 12 months, code contributions, leading workshops, etc) OR pay a membership fee of 10 USD
Membership will last till the end of 2024 at which time members will be asked to renew.

Please note --
* Wikimedia usernames and country of residence will be public. Other information (real name, full address, email address, contact number, sex, age,  etc.) will be collected, stored and viewed only by the Membership Admin & Chairperson.
* Per New York Not-For-Profit Corporation Law § 621, the list of current members' real names and addresses (only) may be viewed at our New York office by anyone (or their agent or attorney) who has been a member for at least six months immediately preceding their request to view. Your Wikimedia user name will not be revealed. If we receive such a request, we will email all members five days before viewing occurs, so they may resign from the foundation and have their name and address removed from the viewed list.

If your wiki account is not 3 months old & has not made at least 250 edits, describe your contributions to the Wikimedia movement or with an organization or activity whose aims align with ours. Your membership will be considered according to the information you provide.
5) Are you presently banned from contributing to any Wikimedia projects? *

6) How old are you? *
Applicants must be at least 12 years old. This will be kept private.
7) Check the box if you agree to advance our mission. *
Our mission is to make clear, reliable, comprehensive, up-to-date educational resources and information in the biomedical and related social sciences freely available to all people in the language of their choice, on and off line. If you have any commitment or loyalty that conflicts with our mission (such as receiving payment to positively represent a therapy), please use the "Other" option and declare it. Whatever you declare will be kept private).
