Why I should be involved

Great North Star will celebrate the spirit of the North of England, as exemplified by the world’s greatest half marathon, and takes inspiration from the centenary of the Representation of the People Act (1918), which granted some women the right to vote for the first time. The show will also highlight the continuing struggle for equality and rights by women, whilst celebrating northern values of equality, resilience, and togetherness. Given the themes of equality, resilience and togetherness in the show, we’d love to hear from you what makes you want to be part of Great North Star, and in particular, which themes you identify with in the show. If you'd like to, please let us know in 50 words why you should be given a place.
