We're so happy that you're applying to become a Peer First Responder! Here's what you'll need to know before you apply:
We're looking for Upper School

passionate about mental health awareness. As a Peer First Responder, you would be available for students who might want to talk to you for support or before seeking help from a counselor. Additionally, you will be responsible for mental health related school-wide workshops.
If you are interested in applying,
give a read through these requirements:- You must attend all PFR meetings and trainings
- You must be open to working with the counselors
- You must be comfortable in your ability to support others who might be struggling with difficult emotions or topics
- You must be willing to maintain confidentiality unless otherwise directed by the counselors
- You must be willing to lead at least one whole-day, school-wide wellness activity
What we look for when selecting Peer First Responders from our applications: Students who are empathetic and natural listeners and have been thoughtful in their applications (at least 3-4 sentences for each question, specific examples.) We also seek out PFRs with different backgrounds and experiences.
Interviews may take place before final decision.
DUE: Thursday, September 8th!
