General Philosophy of Award
The Distinguished Staff award is given for a substantial contribution of both time and energy to the college. This award has most often been given to staff on their retirement. However, other staff will be considered when an outstanding contribution to the college has been made.
Selection Criteria
Outstanding nominee contributions could include areas such as:
- Exemplifying and contributing to the college’s mission and values
- Community involvement
- Program development/support
- Innovative instruction
- College relations
- Recognition on a state or national level for contributions or service
- Breadth of involvement on campus
- Positive influence on colleagues
- Consistent outstanding performance
- Instructional or workplace innovation
