Em 18 de setembro, às 9h (horário de Nova York), Geledés – Instituto da Mulher Negra realiza o evento “Não há desenvolvimento sustentável sem enfrentar o racismo” que acontece no escritório da Comunidade Internacional Bahá’í em Nova York, paralelamente à Cúpula dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentáveis (ODS), com a intenção de acelerar o cumprimento dos objetivos da Agenda 2030. As populações e comunidades afrodescendentes ao redor do mundo estão cada vez mais distantes de alcançar um mundo desenvolvido e sustentável. Geledés entende, por meio de dados e diagnósticos, que o alcance dessa Agenda 2030 está marcado por questões de raça e gênero.

A mesa contará com a participação de:

• Anielle Franco: Ministra da Igualdade Racial, representando o Governo Federal Brasileiro
• Hawa Diallo: Chefe de Unidade e Oficial de Informação Pública na Seção de Relações e Advocacia com ONGs  Representando o Departamento de Informação Pública da ONU
  
• Rosário Garavito: Representante do NGO Major Group
• Maria Gabriela Feitosa: Assessora de Projetos do Instituto Polis, representando o Major Group Juventudes
• Carl Murrel: Representante Principal nas Nações Unidas Assembleia Espiritual Nacional dos Bahá'ís dos Estados Unidos
• Letícia Leobet: Representante de Geledés Instituto da Mulher Negra

O evento será realizado no formato híbrido, porém, o acesso presencial será restrito a 50 inscrições, por ordem de inscritos.

On September 18, at 9 am (New York time), Geledés – Instituto da Mulher Negra will hold the event “There is no sustainable development without addressing racism” which takes place at the Bahá'í International Community office in New York, parallel to the Summit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the intention of accelerating the achievement of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Afro-descendant populations and communities around the world are increasingly distant from achieving a developed and sustainable world. Geledés understands, through data and diagnoses, that the scope of this 2030 Agenda is marked by issues of race and gender.

The table will feature the participation of:

• Anielle Franco: Minister of Racial Equality, representing the Brazilian Federal Government
• Hawa Diallo: Unit Head and Public Information Officer in the NGO Relations and Advocacy Section Representing the UN Department of Public Information
• Rosário Garavito: Representant of the NGO Major Group
• Maria Gabriela Feitosa: Project Advisor at Instituto Polis, representing Major Group Juventudes
• Carl Murrel: Chief Representative to the United Nations National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States
• Letícia Leobet: Representant of Geledés Black Woman Institute

The event will be held in a hybrid format, however, in-person access will be restricted to 50 sign ups, in order of registrants.

There will be no sign up limit for online access.
