Earl & Helen Mahl Scholarship
To honor their parents, the Earl & Helen Mahl Scholarship was established by their children, Tom ’61, Patty ’65, Jerry EHS ’67, Ken ’71, Ted ’74, Tim ’74, Larry ’78, and Pam ’80, and grandchildren

Criteria:
  • Applicant must be a current student enrolled at Elyria Catholic High School and be fully registered for the following year
  • Applicants family must have applied for the EdChoice Scholarship Program.
  • Applicant's families must complete a FACTS Grant & Aid Application in order to be eligible. 
What we are looking for in a candidate is someone who:
  • demonstrates drive and ambition.
  • demonstrates good citizenship (community service).
  • demonstrates leadership and takes initiative.
  • demonstrates responsibility and social awareness.
  • takes an active role in the school community (sports, extra-curricular activities, etc.)
…And by the way:
  • We don’t expect you to have all of these qualities (none of us does!) but show us your best!
  • It is open to all current ECHS students.
  • If qualifications are equal, it would be given to an alumnus of St. Mary’s School in Elyria
Award:
One students will receive $1900 (final award amount subject to change based on student need) applied directly to their tuition for the following school year.
