Rules and Expectations at The Painted Turtle
To ensure a safe, fun, and meaningful virtual camp experience, The Painted Turtle expects all visitors to adhere to certain rules of conduct. By signing, you agree to follow the rules listed here throughout your visit at The Painted Turtle.
Smoking, Drugs, and Alcohol
1. The Painted Turtle is a smoke, drug, and alcohol-free workplace. Tobacco (including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, and chewing tobacco), alcoholic beverages, marijuana, other forms of non-prescribed narcotics, vaping, juuling, and other illegal drugs are not to be consumed at any time during your visit. Disregard for this policy constitutes grounds for immediate dismissal.
Child Safety
1. For the protection of all campers, staff, volunteers, and visitors, The Painted Turtle does not allow isolated one-to-one interaction between an adult (non-family member) and child on any virtual platform, on a video call, in a breakout room, or private chat. Two or more staff must be present in every interaction between child(ren) and staff.  

2.    Reporting suspicious behavior: All participants are strongly encouraged to contact camp leadership immediately to report any incident or suspicious behavior of any individual at any time.

3.    Visitors are expected to be appropriate role models for campers at all times.

Confidentiality and Visitor Conduct
1. HIPAA: All camper health information is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Visitors must treat all camper information as confidential and only use such information in a professional manner. Confidential information is not to be shared outside of the camp environment.

2. The Painted Turtle recording/photographing of virtual sessions: The Painted Turtle reserves the right to video or audio record, export, download, store, save, print screen, or photograph camp program sessions or participants at any time. Recording or taking a photographing of any virtual session will only be conducted by year-round Painted Turtle staff members. Participants will be notified at the start of the session if a session will be recorded. Recording will also be indicated by a red “recording” icon at the top left corner of the participant screen. .

3. Participant Recording of virtual sessions: Visitors are not permitted to video or audio record, export, download, store, save, print screen, or photograph camp programs sessions or participants at any time.  

4. Photo and Video Consent: By signing and agreeing, participants understand and agree that any photo, video, or audio taken by The Painted Turtle during the virtual program or submitted by visitors throughout the virtual program may be used by The Painted Turtle as part of its fundraising efforts, advertising, publicity, promotion, or other use.

5. Virtual safety: While every precaution is taken to reduce risk, by participating in the virtual “Camp at Home” family weekend, all participants acknowledge and accept that a reasonable amount of risks exists, including the risk of electronic intrusion and personal health information shared outside of Camp and group participants.

Appearance
1. Dress Code: Visitors are expected to dress appropriately. This includes wearing shirts and shorts/pants at all times in the presence of campers. Exposed stomachs, undergarments, or revealing clothing are not acceptable. Private body parts must be covered at all times. Clothing, including pictures and messages on clothing, must always be camp and child appropriate.

2. Environment: Visitors are expected to conduct virtual camp experiences in an appropriate environment that is suitable for performing staff responsibilities, child appropriate, and ensures a privacy and confidentiality of participants.
