Musical Description:
Larry the Musical is inspired by the book "Journey for Justice: The Life of Larry Itliong," authored by the late historian Dr. Dawn Mabalon and Gayle Romasanta, the musical pays homage to Larry Itliong's remarkable legacy. Larry the Musical breathes life into Itliong's extraordinary journey, illuminating the pivotal role of the Filipino American community in shaping his leadership, from his beginnings as a 15-year-old activist to his posthumous induction into Labor International's Hall of Fame. In 2015, the State of California proclaimed "Larry Itliong Day" in recognition of his contributions.
