Congratulations to you and your child, they are now fully fledged 'Upton pupils' having completed their first two terms as 'juniors'. (I must say it seems to have gone by in a flash!) From a school perspective, we feel the transition process has been smooth and very successful, with every child in Year 3 happy to come into school and making good progress with their learning.

I would like to ask your opinion, as parents, on how the transition from your child's Infant school to us has been and reflect not only on the process for you and your child but also consider ways you feel the school could make changes for future Year 3 pupils and parents.

On Year 3 teachers are currently seeking the views of the children in their class so that I can review the transition process from a child's point of view.

Can I take this opportunity to thank you for the support you have shown to Upton Junior School during your child's first two terms with us. I truly believe parents and school must work in partnership for a child to reach their potential and these initial weeks have laid the foundations for a strong relationship between home and school across the next four years.
