Create and edit a page in Google Sites

First you must be logged site:

sites.google.com/site/kwikstead/

Click on "Create new page" at the top right corner. You can choose between four different page templates, as well as where to locate the page.

If we are to create a page to present our own character, we choose the template "Web" and place this under the existing page "
Inhabitants":

Once this is done, just click "Create" and you are taken on to the newly created page. This you can now edit directly, but remember to hit "save" when you are finished.

Under the menu "Insert" will find a number of possibilities:

In this example I would like to insert an image (see more about how to find images for free use, below).

The easiest way is to use images from Flickr, and service ImageCodr:

First I change the layout of the page to two columns:

Then I find the picture on Flickr, and copy the address of the page that the image is on.

Next step is to go to and paste the address I copied from Flickr, using http://www.imagecodr.org/get.php :

The service then makes the necessary code:

Then we return to our website, and paste the code ImageCodr has made. Click on where you want to place the picture and the then the button marked "HTML".

This way we will have the image in place, with a link to the license and author:

Similarly, we can insert a variety of other items from the "Insert" - menu.

FlickrCC is a service which can be found at the address FlickrCC.bluemountains.net. It searches for CC-licensed photos on Flickr:@
