Boys Baseball | July 8-11. 2024 8:30 am - 11:00 am $150.00 Open to rising 6th-8th graders Baseball camp will be held at: Lower Woodland Field 1 Coach: Will Campbell, Head Baseball Coach Come join The Bears on the diamond! Players of all ability levels will be challenged with specific skill instruction and drill work throughout our camps. Drill progressions will be focused on developing good habits while improving overall baseball skills. Our camps will cover pitching, hitting, catching, fielding, and baserunning. Boys Basketball | June 17-20, 2024 8:00 am - 11:00 am $175.00 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Coach: Tyler McClenahan, Varsity Boys Basketball Head Got game? Coaches and current players work with campers to develop individual offensive moves, passing, shooting, rebounding, and ball handling. The camp operates from a team perspective, working within the offensive and defensive systems implemented at the high school level. There will be competitive contests throughout the week. |

In this camp you’ll learn foundational concepts from our coaches and players, all while developing solid teamwork and practicing good sportsmanship. Come out and build your skills, passion, and confidence in this awesome sport! Equipment is available if needed. Looking to learn about and gain some lacrosse skills, have fun and meet new friends? Our lacrosse camps are geared to lax players of all ability levels, from experienced to beginners. Equipment is provided or you are welcome to bring your own (sticks only, no gear needed). In this camp you’ll learn the basics of lacrosse from our coaches and players while they also stress the importance of teamwork and being a good sport. Come out for some drills and skills with mini games for all those new to LAX! |

Campers will develop and enhance coordination, balance, technique, and skill. Emphasis is placed on passing and receiving, dribbling, shooting, heading, movement into space with and without the ball, possession, and various defensive and offensive techniques. |
Cheer | August 19th - 22nd 8:30 am - 11:00 am $150 Open to: K-8th Coach: Carrie Anderson, Cheer Head Are you loud, proud, and full of spirit? All K-8 students are invited to join the BBHS Cheerleading Squad for a week of learning cheers, chants, stunts and dances. Campers will acquire fundamental cheerleading skills in a fun environment with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and skill development. |
Co-Ed Cross Country | June 24-27, 2024 8:30 am - 11:00 am $150.00 Open to: Rising 5th - 8th graders Coaches: John O’Leary, Boys XC Head Runners, take your mark! Campers will learn about basic running technique, racing strategies, nutrition, and injury prevention. This age-appropriate introduction to running helps youth appreciate the benefits of this lifelong activity. Campers will meet at BBHS before bussing to their running activities at Green Lake, Lower Woodland, Magnuson Park and Gas Works Park. |

In this non-contact, up-tempo camp, players learn the rules of the game, offensive and defensive formations, and the fundamentals of football (proper way to catch a football, how to run a route, proper backpedaling technique, and more). Co-Ed Volleyball | June 24-27, 2024 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm $150.00 Open to: Rising 6th - 8th graders Coach: Jen Strauss, Varsity Volleyball Head This co-ed camp is designed for all levels of players. Our plan is to incorporate essential life-lessons such as teamwork and sportsmanship. Bishop Blanchet’s volleyball staff and players will assist each athlete in developing the fundamental skills of the game through game-based drills and scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. Discovery Learning Camp is an all-day experience for rising 5th - 8th graders. At registration, campers choose two morning sessions and one afternoon session. Class sessions are taught by passionate teachers and assisted by dynamic student leaders.

Do you want to know more about the closest living relatives to dinosaurs? If so, join Bird Camp! This engaging course will teach you practical ways to identify local backyard birds. We'll split our time between the classroom and the outdoors. At the end of the week, we will make bird seed ornaments and send you home with tools to continue bird watching in your day-to-day life! |
Drawing | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Michelle Carrasquilla Lander, Performing and Fine Arts Department Chair and Visual Arts Instructor Are you artsy fartsy and just a little bit sketchy? Learn to render with some foundational drawing. Camp goers will complete a series of small, mini drawing projects in various medias. |
Improv Games & Storytelling | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Leona Partridge, Improv Club Advisor Calling all storytellers, comedians, and actors! If you like having fun making up scenes and characters, then Improv camp is the place for you! Come and learn to create characters and stories without scripts or rehearsal. No experience needed. You will learn along with everyone else and have an awesome time sharing a lot of laughs! |
Field Sports | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Nicky Froland, Science Teacher Have a competitive spirit or just want to move? Each day we’ll learn the rules of a new sport and play! Sports include flag football, kickball, capture the flag, soccer, and more. Sportsmanship and having fun are what we’re about! |
Comics & Comic Strips | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Jesse McFeron, English Teacher Pictures + text=magic! If you’ve never read a comic or have a stack at home, this is for you. Where do comics come from? What do comics look like in different parts of the world? Who is the greatest superhero? Can I really make my own strip by the end of the week? All of your questions will be answered. |
3D Sculpture | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Michelle, Carrasquilla Lander, Performing and Fine Arts Department Chair and Visual Arts Instructor Do you like to build stuff? Learn some 3d rendering skills in sculpture. Camp goers will design a 3d sculpture using cardboard and other found materials. |
Band | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Prerequisite: Band Experience, an Instrument
Instructor: John VanDuinen, Audio Engineering and Band Teacher Let’s take the concert band to the next level! If you take this class, you will develop group musicianship, expand repertoire, learn new exercises, and explore all the sounds that your instrument can create. There will be a small performance at the end of the week. |
Audio Engineering | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: John VanDuinen, Audio Engineering and Band Teacher Want to be a rock star? DJ? Producer? Join this class to learn the basics or Microphones, Recording Software, Music Production, and Recording. After taking this class, you will know how to create music on any computer and from there, the sky's the limit! |
Drumline | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders John VanDuinen, Audio Engineering and Band Teacher Unleash your inner beat master at our Drumline Camp for 5th-8th graders! No prior drumming experience or personal drum required – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to rock. Get ready for a week of rhythmic fun with expert instructors guiding you through the basics. Join us for a drum-tastic adventure where every day is a new rhythm waiting to be discovered. Yoga | August 12-16, 2024 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Rachel McGovern, certified yoga instructor Vinyasa yoga is an energetic full-body flow of movements set to music. Yoga is beneficial for all bodies; it can be especially helpful in supporting injury prevention, fostering balance, and promoting mental discipline and stress relief through a focus on breath. (No yoga experience is necessary.) |
Musical Theatre & Dance Camp
Musical Theatre & Dance | August 19-22, 2024 11:30 am - 2:00 pm $150.00 Open to rising 5th-8th graders Instructor: Taryn Darr, Drama Director If you love musical theatre then this camp is for you! Led by Blanchet Drama Director/Choreographer and professional musical theatre actress Taryn Darr, this camp focuses on the art of performing full out! Students get the chance to study singing, dancing and acting while rehearsing a few theatrical production numbers, culminating in a final performance on the last day. Join Ms. Darr (and a few Blanchet Drama stars) for a fun week full of learning tools that will make YOU an exciting performer to watch onstage! |
Study Skills Camp
Study Skills Grades 5-8 Grade 9 | August 12-15, 2024 Rising 9th graders: 8:30am - 11:00am or 11:30 am - 2:00 pm Rising 5th - 8th graders: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm Instructor: Kori Boyd, AP English Language & Composition Teacher Jumpstart your academic success! The BBHS Study Skills Camp assists students in transitioning to the more demanding and time-consuming homework loads associated with a college-prep high school. This camp helps students develop time management, organization, study strategies, and planning skills to increase success in the classroom this fall. |
Lunch Supervision
If campers sign up for a morning and afternoon camp, they may stay on campus for lunch. Supervision will be provided in the Bishop Blanchet Student Commons. Lunch is not provided; students should bring a sack lunch.
