SES Art Webpage
The annual SES Student Art Show may have ended in March, but your students are still working hard in the art room! During March and April, Grades K-1 channeled their inner Leonardo da Vinci, and drew their own imaginative flying machines. They also experimented with mixing colors to make abstract lines and shapes. Grades 2-3 made colorful prints using images from Mexican culture. They also, along with grades K-1, did a project on expressing emotions, and made the vibrant fish pictures you may have seen in the art show. Finally, grades 4-5 made pop-art letters and numbers in the style of American artist, Jasper Johns. They also made vibrantly colored clay tiles in the style of Brazilian artist, Romero Britto. To learn more about lesson plans and see examples of student artwork, please visit our updated SES Art Page.
