Complaints Policy for Nursing

Complaints about the nursing programs or program graduates should be first addressed with the Department Chair of the Nursing Programs at 919-718-7390. Unresolved complaints should be directed to Denise Martin, Dean of Health Sciences at dmartin@cccc.edu or 919-777-7784. A complaint against the program may also be filed with the NCBON at the link located here: https://complaints.ncbon.com/index.aspx. The NCBON is interested in ensuring that nursing education programs are in compliance with Rules in order to protect the public through safe nursing care. The Board will consider written and signed complaints about nursing education programs which reflect upon the quality of nursing education and pose non-compliance with education rules. However, the NCBON has no purview over school policies, grades, or conflicts between students and faculty. Each program is required to have processes in place for dealing with grievances. Students and faculty are encouraged to follow the appropriate procedure in the institution.
