Are you a non-resident or international graduate student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks? Do you want to take a recreational class, but do not want to pay the non-resident surcharge on a one-credit class?
UAF Community and Technical College (CTC) has graciously agreed to put together an option for all non-resident or international students who want to take a recreation course by paying only the resident portion of tuition (currently $234.00). (Recreation classes cannot be covered using a research/teaching assistantship or fellowship.)
Please note the following conditions:
1 - You should attend the classes you want to register for from the beginning, just let the instructor know that you are a grad student wanting to add the class as a non-credit option and that it will take a bit of time - that way you are not behind. That way your number will also count when we are looking at canceling low enrollment classes.
2 - You should NOT register for the class unless you want to pay the full price.
This is a separate registration process, not a discount on an existing class.3 - Please understand that the graduate student registration is on a different time-table than the standard schedule. You should fill out the form below, and that you shouldn't worry about the date until you get an email from
Paula Earp with the following instructions. There will be no late fees for being registered late to the class.
4 - Finally, please be aware that it is ultimately up to the instructors whether they are willing to add you or not, as it is extra work.
Please fill out the form below. You will be notified by email if CTC is able to enroll you in the recreational course you requested. Do not call them asking about the status of your enrollment.
