Images, images, everywhere... but what can I use?

WPClipart?
Thousands of images.
No copyrights to fret over.
No attribution needed.
Lots of school-related images and clips...
(and loads of fun stuff too)

"Hey -- maybe I'll grab some stuff at wpclipart to use in my Google Docs."

 SURE CAN!

And you don't even have to download the images from WPClipart to use them in your Google Docs. You can just plug the URL in when you insert a pix or clip. Look below to see how.

Find image and get the URL

I am assuming you have a Google Doc open and are ready to insert a picture. Hopefully you already picked something out, but this is where I'll show you how to grab the URL you will need when you find an image at wpclipart.

The display page for each image gives you brief instructions to download the image and shows the path to the image (the URL) so you can copy it easily to paste in Google Doc. Here is what the display page looks like:

You can see I pointed out the URL for you. Clicking on the URL text will select it all, then you can just Ctrl + C to copy the path. Firefox users have the advantage of right-clicking on the image itseslf and choosing "Save image location". See menu screenshot below:

Got image, will Insert!

OK, we know where to find them and how to get the URL, lets go over pasting into Google Docs. (You're going to feel goofy reading all this, it's so easy.)

First, youe are going to insert an image:

If you downloaded the image already you can choose the default "From this computer", but the point is to save time and trouble, so we're going to pick "From the Web (URL)".

Then enter the URL of the image (discussed earlier), and click insert.
That's it. Looks like an image. In a doc.
