event for the whole family, with a choice of warm-and-comfortable or
roughing it. A highlight of the year!

and let Neil know of any conflicting dates as soon as possible. Some dates are already on the books:

A Huge Thank-You to everyone who helped put together the Hallowe'en Bash! Especially Brenda & Eldon Hill who hosted the event at their home, the Wardens who came up with some excellent ideas and the adults who helped make it happen - Richard, Tony, Sandy, Cara and also Bill Larocque.
This was a great evening and lots of fun. Well done!
Uniform shirts, lanyards & manuals are in! If you happened to miss the order, hopefully we have a shirt that fits, and if not we'll get that ordered up right away for you.
Robert Hill - Olympic Torch Bearer! - Congratulations to Robert on being selected for this honour. His date with the Flame is January 11th, near Prince Albert. Let's cheer him on!
Help Wanted! We need someone to make up some drawstring bags
for pocket first aid kits. These should be made of a durable red
cloth, with a finished size of 6" by 8". We need about 20 of these,
and the cost of material can be reimbursed.
More Help Wanted! Pathfinder families,
please take a few moments someday soon, before winter sets in, to go on
a collecting hike. Sandra has a fun Christmas craft in mind, and needs
you to bring some interesting things from nature, such as:
- cones
- seeds & berries
- colourful leaves
- moss
- twigs
You
get the idea! You can probably find lots of this close to home.
Please take care not to damage plants when collecting these things.
Please bring your collection to the December 1st meeting.
Club trailer approved! As you may have heard, the Meadow Lake Recreation Board has generously granted us funds to purchase our new club trailer. This will make it WAY easier to put on camps, go on major excursions and travel to JFW events near and far.
JFW in Saskatoon! Two Saskatoon families are hoping to get a club started this fall. Let's think of any ways that we can help them out. It will be great fun to have a larger Saskatchewan JFW organization!
JFW in Cutknife! The Friesen family are members of the Airdrie Hawks and have recently moved to Cutknife, Sask. Hopefully, they will be able to join us for some of our club events this year.
Log in to the new JFW website! Please surf to
www.jfwa.ca next time you're online. Be sure to register as a member - this gives you access to all the features of the website.
Web, email, phone, mail - how best to contact you? Email is handy, but certainly doesn't work for everyone. If you prefer to be notified of club news & events by phone calls or regular mail, please let Neil know. If you don't seem to be getting emails, please check your 'Junk Mail' settings, and be sure to add 'woodlandersjfw.org' and 'jfwa.ca' to your 'safe senders list'.
Warden email - Club news isn't just for parents! Wardens who have their own email address can be included on the club mailing list, if their parents approve.

ConcernsLet's help each other stay healthy. Flu & colds get passed around quite easily, so please remember to:
- 'Cough in the trough, Sneeze in the sleeve'
- Use hand sanitizer (available at every meeting)
- Stay home if you're sick
A word about orderly behaviourWe have a big group of enthusiastic young people, and that's what we want. It can be a challenge, however, to maintain order and good discipline, and this is one reason that parental involvement is so important. Please help your kids remember to
- Respect their leaders, as they have a lot to teach in limited time and have spent considerable time preparing for the meeting
- Respect each other, as everyone wants to learn & have fun, and the best way for that to happen is if we all cooperate and pay attention
- Respect the parents (not just their own parents!) and listen to instructions
With everyone's help and cooperation, we can have a great time, every time!
Thank you
