- Devin and Kati report good shop day, David and Nate worked on 2 potential GreenBikes, John Swenson finished a bike, Luis contacted somebody who may still have green paint from past QCBS use.
- Project: make canvas mat or peg board with tool outline

- tabled until next meeting, group suggests perhaps Eric Uphoff might want to run project, has sewing experience.
- Shop Info Binder, Nic and Daniel in progress, Howard will ask YBP for their recently completed manual.
VI. New Business
- Kati was approached by Dan Cook of the Campus Christian Center (CCC) and asked if Querencia would like to participate in an Event on Saturday, September 12th called A Home for the Homeless
- They are interested in our group fixing bikes or donating bikes at the event
- The event includes care and support for the homeless in Denton in a variety of ways including: hair wash and cuts, job support from TX Workforce and Express Temp agency, and a meal.
- We have worked with a group associated with the CCC before called Seeds of Change by working on bikes at a local homeless shelter.
- Group agrees to respond that Querencia is interested in helping but can't yet commit particulars.
- Howard brings up ideas of bike rodeos with police department and coordination of Essay Bike program. Howard will contact DPD and YBP about how they organize such events.
- Howard also brings up idea of doing commuter-basics class with DPD for city employees.
- Howard will contact DPD about idea.
