Come Back to the Circle, Come Back Home!Recent studies show that recordings of modern music, compressed and "enhanced" for cd production, often squish the sound vibrations, increasing the music level into the range of noise and cutting off the naturally occurring highs and lows. "Music is the fastest path to God", said Hazrat Inayat Khan, but music that is missing part of its whole is not really music. How to nourish ourselves auditorally? Come back to the Circle! Come sing and dance with live musicians and vocalists in your local circle! Attend a kirtan! Pick up a guitar! Help us all get back to that which has nourished and inspired mankind for tens of thousands of years (at least): live music. Come, come!
REQUIEM FOR CLINT
From Joanne Bryan in Durango, Wednesday, 18 November
Dear friends of our Clint,
Many of you have contacted me these last few days asking for details on a memorial service for Clint. The family has decided not to have a memorial service now, but will wait until August to take his ashes to The Grand Tetons for distribution, as he wished.
Some of us in the Universal Peace Dance Community have decided to honor Clint's memory with a Peace Dance. Here are the details that I know at this times.
This memorial Dance will be held this Saturday, November 21 at the Methodist Church Hall, 470 West Grand Avenue in Mancos CO beginning at 5 PM with a pot luck. After supper there will be a time of sharing with each other our memories of Clint. Then WE WILL DANCE IN HIS HONOR!
I will be setting up a table with candles, flowers, pictures (I think I have a few from our trip to Wilderness Dance Camp!) If you would like to bring some special Clint treasure to place on the table, feel free.
I know that many of you live too far away to come, but just want to join us at an energetic level which is wonderful. I do not have an exhaustive list of people who knew Clint & might like to join us so please feel free to forward this email.
Thank you. I know Clint shares with me our gratitude for your love & support, Blessings, Joanne Bryan

The cost is $225 for the camp, which includes dinner the first evening (Feb. 10), breakfast the next morning, and the last dinner (Feb. 16). Campers are responsible for their own room and meals. The Bowl of Saki as a Daily Message
The Bowl of Saki is a daily non-sectarian inspirational message, in the words of Inayat Khan. These are messages about the power of love, harmony and beauty, which help us to open our hearts and rise above the
distinctions and differences which often divide us. They are timeless reminders of the importance of the inner life, that
divine spark which illuminates the depths of the human heart ... a
timeless message that we need now more than ever.
These messages are not about a new religion, they are simply reminders
of the importance of paying more attention to our inner life and
selfless ideals, much the same as the great prophets and teachers of
all ages have taught.
You can add them as a daily email or through Facebook; go to http://wahiduddin.net/saki
