Vocabulary List #4 (9th)

Directions:

For each word you will need to write a sentence that shows your understanding of the word. Simple sentences will receive zero points. An example of this type of sentence is: My friend is benign. This in no way shows me that you understand the meaning of the word.

 

Each sentence must be at least 12 words in length. Put word count at end of sentence.

8. stingy (adj.) not generous, not inclined to spend or give

 

 

9. bombastic (adj.) excessively confident, pompous

 

 

10. trepidation (n.) fear, apprehension

 

 

11. frivolous (adj.) of little importance, lacking seriousness

 

 

12. ignivomous (adj.) - vomiting fire
