II)                Circle K is a community service organization on campus. Work with…Everyone!

a)      We like to fundraise with other organizations on campus.

 

III)             2009-2010 Charities for this year are:

 

a)      Pediatric Trauma Program

b)      Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation

c)      UNICEF 6 Cents Initiative

d)     (Insert Pinche here….TIFFANY ORNEDO)

 

IV)             We fundraise for these global charities! J

V)                Break Out Sessions. What are DFI’s??? Introductions

 

 

VI)             Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation Group

a)      Tiffany ornedo, Julie, Matt, Diana, Monica, Josh

b)      “Starlight Starbright provides sorogates for patients to live dreams they could never achieve….” –Vincent Lim  L

c)      A foundation to help children with chronic or life threatening illnesses or life altering injuries. They run fun and educational programs in hospitals too!

 

 

VII)          Pediatric Trauma Program Group

a)      Peter, Jennifer, Diane, Ahnpha, Keiko, JC

b)      What is PTP? Helps to try and prevent deaths and injuries to children.

c)      Doctors and nurses get special training to deal with uncooperative children.

d)     Pay for equipment at hospitals

e)      Give grants to groups seeking to create a community outreach program

 

 

VIII)       UNICEF 6 Cents Initiative Group

a)      Tammy Tran, Darrell, Vincent, Wesley, Margaret, Mimi

b)      What do we think UNICEF is?

c)      Provide clean water to children in Africa.

d)     Provides packets of salts to purify water in Africa.

e)      One packet will clean enough water for a day.

 

IX)             Take something away from this committee.

a)      Personal skills, social, professional etc.

b)      We do events like Concession stands, Outside lands music festival, Kiwanis Take Over, Garage Sale, Camptoons, Small scale fundraisers, Krispy Cream donut sales, Barnes and Noble gift wrapping, graduation ceremony photos,

c)      Public Relation skills, planning skills, delegation, organization, marketing, working with those that are older + younger than us,
