Shabbat Message 8-1-09

WAIT - I'm Not Ready (Be Prepared part 2)

Isa 40:1-14  Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your Elohim.  (2)  Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of YHWH's hand double for all her sins.  (3)  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of YHWH, make straight in the desert a highway for our Elohim.  (4)  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:  (5)  And the glory of YHWH shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of YHWH hath spoken it.  (6)  The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:  (7)  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of YHWH bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.  (8)  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our Elohim shall stand forever.  (9)  O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your Elohim!  (10)  Behold, The Master YHWH will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.  (11)  He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.  (12)  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?  (13)  Who hath directed the Spirit of YHWH, or being his counselor hath taught him?  (14)  With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

WAIT - I'm Not Ready!!

(Be Prepared Part 2)

Pro 22:3  A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth (lit: stays in the secret place) himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Psa 91:1-3  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  (2)  I will say of YHWH, He is my refuge and my fortress: my Elohim; in him will I trust.  (3)  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He doesn't "bury his head" rather he stays away from the evil that he foresees! He prepares, doing what is necessary for Physical & Spiritual Survival.

"Everything in life is about how bad you want it... The effort that you put into something will define the outcome... whether it's success or failure!" (Dave Canterbury)

Life is Short!

Psa 103:15  As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

1Pe 1:22-25  Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  (23)  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of YHWH, which liveth and abideth forever.  (24)  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  (25)  But the word of YHWH endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Mat 24:37-51  But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  (38)  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,  (39)  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  (40)  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  (41)  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  (42)  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Master doth come.  (43)  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  (44)  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  (45)  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  (46)  Blessed is that servant, whom his master when he cometh shall find so doing.  (47)  Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.  (48)  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My master delayeth his coming;  (49)  And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;  (50)  The master of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,  (51)  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Will We Cry "WAIT" When the Time Comes?

Mat 25:1-13  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  (2)  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  (3)  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:  (4)  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  (5)  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  (6)  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  (7)  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  (8)  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  (9)  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  (10)  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  (11)  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Master, Master, open to us.  (12)  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  (13)  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Luk 14:16-27  Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:  (17)  And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.  (18)  And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.  (19)  And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.  (20)  And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.  (21)  So that servant came, and showed his master these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.  (22)  And the servant said, Master, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.  (23)  And the master said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.  (24)  For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.  (25)  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,  (26)  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  (27)  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Php 4:1-8  Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in YHWH, my dearly beloved.  (2)  I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in YHWH.  (3)  And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.  (4)  Rejoice in YHWH always: and again I say, Rejoice.  (5)  Let your moderation be known unto all men. YHWH is at hand.  (6)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto YHWH.  (7)  And the peace of YHWH, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Messiah YHWSHUA.  (8)  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

1Pe 5:8-10  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  (9)  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  (10)  But the Elohim of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Messiah YHWSHUA, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

Watch!

1Co 16:13-14  Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.  (14)  Let all your things be done with charity.

1Pe 4:7  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Rev 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Rev 19:6-9  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for YHWH Elohim omnipotent reigneth.  (7)  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  (8)  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.  (9)  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of YHWH.
