Psa 19:1-14  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of Elohim; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.  (2)  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.  (3)  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.  (4)  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,  (5)  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.  (6)  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.  (7)  The law of YHWH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YHWH is sure, making wise the simple.  (8)  The statutes of YHWH are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of YHWH is pure, enlightening the eyes.  (9)  The fear of YHWH is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of YHWH are true and righteous altogether.  (10)  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  (11)  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.  (12)  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.  (13)  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.  (14)  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O YHWH, my strength, and my redeemer.

The Price of Gold

People have put gold at a very high value throughout all of time...

Pro 22:1  A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Earthly Gold Will Lose it's Worth

Lam 4:1-2  How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.  (2)  The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

You can't take it with you folks!!!

Eze 7:19  They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of YHWH: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Zep 1:18  Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of YHWH's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

1Pe 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

Rev 3:17-18  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  (18)  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.

Eze 38:11-13  And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,  (12)  To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.  (13)  Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Are we like unwalled villages that have lost our hedge of protection? Is our Spiritual gold being tarnished?

Mat 23:16-17  Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!  (17)  Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

Why do we look for the gold outside of ourselves that perishes.. when we have gold inside that will never vanish?

Pro 8:1-11,19  Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?  (2)  She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.  (3)  She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.  (4)  Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.  (5)  O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.  (6)  Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.  (7)  For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.  (8)  All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.  (9)  They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.  (10)  Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.  (11)  For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. (19)  My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

Refined as Gold

Pro 16:16  How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

1Co 3:9-17  For we are laborers together with YHWH: ye are YHWH's husbandry, ye are YHWH's building.  (10)  According to the grace of YHWH which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  (11)  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is YHWSHUA Messiah.  (12)  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  (13)  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.  (14)  If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  (15)  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.  (16)  Know ye not that ye are the temple of YHWH, and that the Spirit of YHWH dwelleth in you?  (17)  If any man defile the temple of YHWH, him shall YHWH destroy; for the temple of YHWH is Set Apart, which temple ye are.

YHWH compares us to fine gold!

Pro 17:3  The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but YHWH trieth the hearts.

Mal 3:3  And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto YHWH an offering in righteousness.

2Ti 2:20-22  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.  (21)  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.  (22)  Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on YHWH out of a pure heart.

1Pe 1:6-9  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  (7)  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of YHWSHUA Messiah:  (8)  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  (9)  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Luk 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

The Golden City

Gold reflects light like a mirror & lights all around it

·              We are to reflect YHWH

·              To manifest HIM through our lives

1Ti 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of righteousness: YHWH was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of YHWH, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of YHWH, they are the sons of YHWH.

Col 3:2-4  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  (3)  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Messiah in YHWH.  (4)  When Messiah, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Rev 21:14-21  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  (15)  And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.  (16)  And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.  (17)  And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.  (18)  And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.  (19)  And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;  (20)  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.  (21)  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

WE ARE THAT CITY!!!!

Whatever the cost of Gold in our lives.. it's worth it!
