Responsibilities of all directors
Aside from specific tasks assigned to the officers, each Director has a number of responsibilities to fulfil. As a Director, you should attend all Board and General Meetings (minimum of one per month)
- Be prepared for meetings by reading the relevant reports and come informed
- Keep in touch with the needs and concerns of the Society’s members
- Be conscious of the mandate and integrity of the Society at all times.
- Be familiar with relevant Provincial Legislation and Act as well as any Rules, Policies and by laws of Bent Umbrella Queer Performing Arts Society.
- Be prepared to hold office until the next Annual General Meeting
In addition to these responsibilities, individual Directors may be assigned specific tasks, such as:
- Holding an office on the Board, such as President, Secretary, or Treasurer
- Sitting on a committee as liaison between the committee and the Board
I am a member of Bent Umbrella Queer Performing Arts Society and I declare that I meet the legal requirements of a Director. I agree to accept these responsibilities and the resulting commitment involved in being a member of the Board of Directors. I agree to stand for nomination to the Board of Directors.
