Petition to the Shoreline School District Board of Directors

Dear President Ehrlichman and School Board Members:

The Shoreline Historical Museum is a priceless asset not only to the local community, but regionally as well. The Museum’s location in the Ronald School building, at the center of the community, is inseparable from the Museum itself. The Ronald School building allows the Museum to present to its visitors and the community a lesson in making history real. The Museum has been an excellent partner with the School District, devoting countless hours toward educational programming and student volunteer programs. When children come to the Museum, they are participating in living history.

If the Museum stops being housed in the Ronald School building, all of that would be lost. The building would no longer be a point of interest in the community; it would no longer be visited by thousands of people, including students, each year. We, the undersigned community members and Museum users, encourage you to keep the Museum in the Ronald School building, where it belongs, next to Shorewood High school, where it is a benefit to both students and the community.
