Last Call For Summer Camp Registration!

Summer Camp Registration is quite low, and there is a possibility we will NOT be able to operate our camp this year unless we get additional registrants. We can only run a program that is financially viable, and with current registration numbers, the Club would incur a significant deficit if we went ahead with it.

Could you please e-mail INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca  by end of day WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17, if you still intend to register for Titans Summer Camp.  We will make a decision following this date. If we do cancel, an e-mail will go out immediately to all currently registered athletes, and there will be a full refund provided to all who paid registration fees so far.

Coach David Hart will be running a ‘tryout’ clinic for those athletes interested in playing in the Titans Academy (competitive 14U program) in the fall, as well as a Free Introductory Clinic for those interested in participating in the ‘I Love Water Polo’ program .

Current ILWP players, you are welcome to come out to this clinic.

We would prefer if possible, that you let us know you are coming. If not, just meet us on the pool deck! Contact Deanna Barry at INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca.

Wanted: Host Family For Water Polo Player for 2009-2010 School Year

The Titans have a unique opportunity for an interested family in our club to billet a 16 year-old German water polo player, named Lars, for the 2009-2010 playing season.

David Hart met and coached this young man, Lars, at Camp Olympia in July, 2008.

Lars would love to return to Canada to live for the school year beginning in September 2009, and play water polo while improving his English. Lars plays for three water polo teams in Germany, and includes snowboarding, skiing, soccer, basketball and handball, science stuff, and drumming, as hobbies outside the pool.

Lars lives with his parents and an older brother, outside of Frankfurt. Lars is reliable, calm and helpful with a good sense of humour. He adapts easily to new situations and is open to new experiences.  Lars' mom, Heike, would like the host family to know that the Hechler family will support the host family and cover all costs, as required. A compensation arrangement would be worked out with the host family and Lars' family.

If you would like more information about this opportunity and/or would like to billet Lars, please contact Val Walker at titansmanager@gmail.com as soon as possible.

A note from one of our webmasters:

At some point between now and next season we will need to transfer the registration of titanswaterpolo.ca from a personal account to the club.  As a result, there may be a short time where the club web site is not available at www.titanswaterpolo.ca.  It will remain available at http://titanswp.hypermart.net/2007/ throughout.
